Aliou Diouf ~ Dakar, Senegal

Aliou Diouf is a master drummer, choreographer, director, dancer, and singer from Dakar, Senegal. Aliou's instruments are the jembe, junjun, sabar, sorruba, bougaroubou, and tama. Aliou performs traditional pieces from the Wolof, Serrer, Djola, Bambara, Mandinko and other peoples of West Africa. Among many other groups, Aliou has worked with the United African Ballet and the Ballet d'Afrique Noir.
